Sunday Dinner Potluck August 7
Deep Nutrition: Eating with a Conscience
Local food, whole food, fresh food, foraged wild foods. These are all part of a conscious whole food diet that goes deeper than categorizing foods into carbs, proteins and fat. A truly nourishing diet emphasizes micro nutrients and nutrient dense foods. Diet fads come and go but real food choices always have one thing in common: eat whole food, forget the junk and sugar. Join our hosts Aimee and Denny Perrin for an evening of looking at the importance of nutrition in whatever diet you choose, as they discuss their journey through many different food options from raw to Weston Price.
Amy Perrin is the founder and executive chef for Aimee’s Livin Magic, producer of raw, gluten-free, grain-free, and sugar-free snacks and dark chocolate. A Type 1 Diabetic since age 16, her conditions has fueled her drive to seek health from diet, exercise, and holistic lifestyle choices. Aimee’s journey has taken her through vegetarianism, veganism, the raw food diet, Weston A. Price, and the Primal Diet. Along with her husband, Denny, Aimee hosts a monthly potluck called Conscious Food Movement, centered on farm to table food sourcing.
Denny Perrin, known professionally as Dennis Perrin, or D.E. Perrin, is an internationally known artist. A painter in the Boston School tradition, he is a member of the Guild of Boston Artists. His work is widely collected throughout North American and Europe. Following Aimee’s lead, Denny has been an avid pursuer of health through diet and fitness.
