Taste of the Nation Tickets on Sale!
Below are details about ticket sales for a wonderful food event and important fundraiser for Share Our Strength. SOS, a nationwide not-for-profit to organize and support hunger relief programs, is committed to the goal of ending childhood hunger in America. Their main strategy is to “to surround every child with nutritious food in the places they live, learn, play and pray.” Much of their funding is channeled to local food-related programs. Here on the Seacoast, you can find SOS support at work in the Kittery FootPrints Food Pantry, Rockingham Community Action, Strafford County Community Action Committee, and York County Shelter Programs. As with last year, Slow Food Seacoast will be represented at a table serving John Forti’s famous local-garden salad. More info:
Buy your tickets for the 2007 Taste of the Nation Seacoast to be held on Wednesday, June 20, 2007 on the beautiful grounds of the Stawbery Banke Museum in Portsmouth, New Hampshire. More than 60 chefs, vendors, purveyors of hand crafted beers and fine wines will present this culinary event to help end childhood hunger in our area. There will be musical entertainment, dancing, and an amazing silent auction as well… all under the big top. This is the not-to-be-missed gala happening of the year on the Seacoast.
General admission tickets purchased before June 13th will cost $75 each. From June 13th, up until the event, general admission tickets can be purchased for $85. VIP tickets can be purchased for $150, and include a VIP champagne reception, pre-tasting, on site parking, and other benefits. 100% of the price of your ticket goes to fighting hunger, and a portion of your ticket price is tax deductible.
